The Order of the Blade was created two thousand years ago by Caleb and twenty other warriors to defeat his twin brother Ezekiel. Since then, the Order has trained the most elite Calydons to hunt down males who have gone rogue after bonding with their shevas. However, members of the Order are not killed in this manner because they are too valuable; instead, the member's sheva is killed.
After a male passes the rigorous training and is admitted to the Order, the back of his shoulder is branded with the Order's symbol of double crossed hook swords.
